Nothing lasts forever...

Hello friends

This statement "Nothing lasts forever" is as true as any true statement can be. Change is perhaps the only thing that is constant in this world. Those who have lived for the last 50 years in India can tell you that more than anyone else. Ask your grandparents about their childhood and then look at the childhood that your own kids will face in the future!

This song from the movie "The Man From Earth" (8.1 rating on IMDB) talks about change through the eyes of a man who has live for 140 centuries! This sci-fi movie was made on a shoe-string budget of $200k only and consists of a few people sitting in a cabin room, just discussing. This movie is for those who like slow and sensible/logical movies and not for those who like the "Aliens" and "Species" types of sci-fi movies.

This song is to show how things change, but your inner feelings for a person never change. Deep funda, simple song, soothing music. You can download this song freely from their own website - CLICK TO DOWNLOAD. In case you have any difficulties, just leave your email id in the comments or send me a ping in case your know my email id and I will mail it to you. The lyrics for the song are as follows:

I've seen rivers rise
Seen mountains fall
Seen endless vistas coming to an end
I've seen stars collide
Heard oceans roar
I know what it means to lose your only friend

Nothing lasts forever
That's what I've always heard
All things good must end
You know it's true

Nothing lasts forever
But maybe some things do
Forever is the way I feel for you
Forever is the way I feel for you

I've seen men take
The world into their hands
And change it, mold it, to their point of view
I've felt the earth shake
Seen men take a stand
And fight when it's the one thing left to do

Nothing lasts forever
That's what I've always heard
All things good must end
You know it's true

Nothing lasts forever
But maybe some things do
Forever is the way I feel for you
Forever is the way I feel for you

This song makes me realize that any poem can be transformed into a beautiful song, with the right set of musical instruments.

Ciao!
